What it is: The Björkefall candlestick holder

Why I love it: It’s practical, simple, affordable ($4.99) and beautiful, all at the same time.

What it does: Simply put, it addresses all the issues that come with burning a candle, with grace. The built in handle makes it easy to move from room to room.  The base serves both as a drip catch if you’re reckless enough not to use drip-less candles and provides a insulating base to protect furniture from heat if the candle is burned down to the very nub.

The candlestick is formed as a gracefully shaped, single piece of stoneware, and is classic enough in shape to be used in either a contemporary or traditional setting. It comes in white or black, but it’s the white version that really catches my eye.

It’s perfect.
