Planning a summer dinner party doesn’t have to be difficult. You don’t need to spend hours slaving away in the kitchen to please your guests. Here are some couldn’t be easier dishes to whip up for your guests.
Start with this super easy appetizer. It takes less than 30 minutes to make.
1 2lb bag IKEA KOTTBULLAR chicken meatballs, frozen
1lb American cheese, cubed
1 head lettuce
1 jar dill pickle slices or spears
1 container grape or cherry tomatoes
Cook meatballs according to package instructions. Layer meatballs, cheese, lettuce, tomato and pickles on a skewer. Serve with burger sauce for dipping.
For burger sauce:
Combine equal parts ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise
The Main Dish
This salmon dish can be made on the grill or in your oven or fry pan depending on your mood. If you want to add an extra side dish, try IKEA PS whole grain mix with mushrooms, which takes just a few minutes on the stovetop.
Citrus glazed salmon
1 4pk IKEA LAX Salmon filets
8oz. MARMELAD APELSTIN & FLADER (Orange and elderflower marmalade)
1 tsp. smoked paprika
1 tsp. apple cider vinegar
Whisk together marmalade, smoked paprika and apple cider vinegar.
Brush over salmon filets
Bake, grill or fry as preferred
Serve with GRONSAKAKKA vegetable medallions
Enjoy this refreshing drink with the herby floral flavor of Elderflower. Add a little vodka for a grown-up version. The elderflower will perfectly complement the citrus glaze for the salmon.
2 Cups IKEA Elderflower Saft
1 Cup water
2 Cups Club Soda
2 Cups Tonic Water
Juice of 1 lime and 1 lemon
2 limes and 1 lemon sliced
Combine Elderflower Saft, water, lemon juice, lime juice and lime and lemon slices. Chill for at least 2 hours (overnight is fine). Chill Club soda and tonic water.
Just before serving add club soda and tonic water
For dessert, serve the PAJMIX APPLE & PARON apple and pear crumble. Just bake and enjoy, perhaps with a scoop of ice cream.
