Fave Finds - Organization

Posted by Janice Simonsen on January 24, 2012

This week’s Favorite Organizational Finds:

What it is:
The BJÄRNUM hook.

Why I love it: It’s sleek, lightweight and unobtrusive. It’s imminently practical in just about every room in the house.

What it does: This little aluminium beauty comes in two versions; one with affixed hooks in two different lengths, and another in a more compact version that folds flat to the wall when not in use.  Use it for the hallway for organizing coats, scarves and umbrellas. Use it by the computer to hold dangling media cords and accessories. Mount a few by the stove top to keep frequently used cookware at hand. And that’s just the beginning.

What it is: The EKBY JÄRPEN EKBY/RISET wall shelf.

Why I love it: It goes where no shelf has gone before.

What it does: It uses space that might normally be wasted under a staircase, or on an angled wall. The mechanism of the shelf works like ratchet, allowing the shelf to set at the desired angle. What a great idea!

What it is: The VIKA VEINE/VIKA MOLIDEN table.

Why I love it: It’s a compact, well designed workstation with tons of integrated features.

What it does: It opens up to create a highly efficient work area with bulletin board and built-in, felt-lined holders for notepads, pens and computer accessories. Cables are easily organized and managed with special outlets and storage compartments. Close it up for an extra table top when the work day is over.
